Bursting...

Laughter is such good medicine.

A smile can brighten up the day.

But sometimes we just don't do it. We forget to smile and laugh. The bright spots in our day our missed. It happens to me sometimes. I get caught up in school, to do lists and assignments. Forgetting to see the joy in the day. I want to always remember to smile and laugh. I want to be able to see joy. I am so grateful to have people in my life who make me smile, and remind me to see joy.

I love to laugh. Sometimes I have a silent histerical laugh that comes out in squeeks when I catch a breath, sometimes I laugh loudly. However wacky or hilarious ones laughter may be, I think the sound is beautiful. It is the sound of joy.

Seek the bright in the day.

Don't be afraid to laugh so hard you cry.

Choose joy.

Smile.

Clinical Team...

We entered our first day petrified, and left our last day smiling (and crying). The growth that occured through our clinical experience over the semester is astounding. We are more competent, tired, experienced, sleep deprivied, caring, professional, exauhsted, skilled...and so much more!

Our team is very professional...

...but also very fun!

Although our clinical supervisor may look like she is innocent of our crazy antics, she is acually the source. We have had lots of fun and laughter and it has been a great privilage to work with such amazing nurses. You guys are the best.

Candy Apple...

I finally ate the candy apple of my childhood dreams.

Sometimes the dreams and fantasies that you held in childhood stay with you, however random or nonsensical they are now. In my mind, candy apples have always been held on a pedestal. Maybe it was because I never ate them, or they just looked so pretty - I don't really know which. I finally indulged my childhood fantasy, and couldn't wipe the grin off my face. :-)

On the other side of the lens...

Since it was my birthday, and since I don't have that many pictures of myself, and since I was forced...I let my friend take my picture. And I am glad I did.

My new goal: to get on the other side of the lens more often. Because my life is worth documenting too.

My cozy corner...

This is my little corner of the internet, where I have the privilage of sharing the view through my lens with you. I absolutely love photography, and my camera can always be found on me. always.

One of my favorite things to do with my camera is capture the beauty of life in the moment. The more I learn about photography, the more I learn to see the beauty around me.

I often find a photo that just makes me giddy with excitement. That just makes me happy. That happiness is hard to keep to yourself so I am going to share some of it hear with you. I hope that each time you visit you will leave a little happier, with a bit of beauty added to your day.

I suppose that by viewing life through my camera, you will discover a bit about me too. Some randoms: I have a wonderful family. I am a nursing student. I am in love with photography. I live a life full of passion. I have a part of my heart in Africa. I enjoy the little things.
