The saying goes that "every cloud has a silver lining." Sometimes I forget...other times, it is impossible to deny. No matter how big or dark or stormy the cloud that you see, there is always a bright side. It may not always be obvious, but it is always there.

Candy Apple...

I finally ate the candy apple of my childhood dreams.

Sometimes the dreams and fantasies that you held in childhood stay with you, however random or nonsensical they are now. In my mind, candy apples have always been held on a pedestal. Maybe it was because I never ate them, or they just looked so pretty - I don't really know which. I finally indulged my childhood fantasy, and couldn't wipe the grin off my face. :-)

Little Birdie...

Can you see it? The sky is lit up in its evening colours.

Can you hear it? The little birds are singing out their joyful chorus'.

On the other side of the lens...

Since it was my birthday, and since I don't have that many pictures of myself, and since I was forced...I let my friend take my picture. And I am glad I did.

My new goal: to get on the other side of the lens more often. Because my life is worth documenting too.
